How Live Event Attendance Is Tracked

Live event attendance in the Leadership Learning Portal is tracked differently than online course progress. Registering for a live event does not automatically confirm attendance or generate a certificate. Attendance must be verified after the event has taken place to ensure training records remain accurate.

When a user registers for a live event—either individually or through a Company Admin assignment—the event appears on their dashboard as an upcoming or assigned event. This confirms registration only, not attendance. Simply being registered or checking in informally at the event does not complete the process inside the portal.

After the live event occurs, attendance is manually reviewed and marked by an Accelerated Leadership administrator. This step confirms which participants were physically present at the session. Attendance is not tracked automatically through the portal, QR codes, or login activity. Manual verification ensures that certificates are issued only to those who actually attended.

Once attendance is marked as “present” in the system, the portal updates the participant’s record. At that point, the live event is considered complete for that user, and a certificate becomes available based on their account role.

For Individual users, the certificate appears directly in their account once attendance is confirmed. For Employees assigned by a Company Admin, the certificate becomes available only to the Company Admin. Employees can see that the event was completed but cannot download the certificate themselves.

If a certificate does not appear immediately after an event, it usually means attendance has not yet been marked. This may take some time after the event, especially for larger sessions. Users should wait for confirmation or contact support if attendance appears incorrect after a reasonable period.

Attendance tracking is intentionally controlled to protect the integrity of training records. By separating registration from attendance confirmation, the portal ensures that live event certificates accurately reflect real participation rather than registration alone.
