Course Enrollment Rules

Course enrollment in the Leadership Learning Portal is intentionally structured to ensure training access, progress tracking, and certification records remain accurate. These rules apply to all users and are enforced automatically by the system.

Enrollment always requires a signed-in account. While anyone can browse courses without logging in, a user must be signed in to enroll. If a user attempts to enroll while not logged in, they will be prompted to sign in or create an account before continuing.

Who can enroll depends on account type. Individual users may enroll themselves in online courses directly. Company Admin users enroll themselves and assign courses to employees. Employee accounts cannot enroll in courses on their own and do not have access to the cart or checkout process. All employee enrollment must be handled by a Company Admin.

Courses are not considered enrolled until checkout is completed. Adding a course to the cart does not grant access. Enrollment is finalized only after checkout is successfully completed and, if applicable, payment or billing terms are confirmed. Until checkout is complete, no user will see the course on their dashboard.

Company Admins must assign courses before checkout. When a Company Admin adds a course to the cart, they are required to assign that course to one or more users before completing checkout. Assignments are specific to each course and determine who receives access once enrollment is finalized.

Once enrolled, access is immediate. After checkout, enrolled or assigned users will see the course appear on their dashboard right away. Progress tracking begins as soon as the course is opened.

Enrollment cannot be transferred or shared. Courses are assigned to specific users and cannot be shared between accounts. Each enrolled user must complete the course individually to earn completion credit.

Courses must be completed in order. Enrollment does not allow users to skip lessons or jump ahead. Videos, lessons, and quizzes unlock sequentially to ensure consistent learning outcomes.

These enrollment rules exist to protect training integrity, ensure certificates are issued correctly, and keep company training records accurate. If enrollment options appear unavailable, it is usually due to account role restrictions or an incomplete checkout rather than a system error.
