Understanding Course Progress

Course progress in the Leadership Learning Portal (LLP) is designed to be clear, automatic, and structured so users always know where they stand. Progress updates as you complete required steps and ensures that training is completed properly and consistently for all participants.

When you start an online course, your progress begins at the first lesson. Courses are completed in a fixed order, meaning each lesson, video, or quiz must be finished before the next one becomes available. This structure prevents users from skipping important material and ensures the learning experience builds correctly.

Progress is tracked automatically by the system. There is no save button and no manual check-in required. As soon as you finish watching a required video, complete a lesson, or pass a quiz, the system records your progress and unlocks the next step. If you leave the course at any time, your place is saved so you can return later without losing progress.

Videos play a major role in progress tracking. Required videos must be watched from start to finish for progress to count. Fast-forwarding is disabled, and closing a video before it finishes will prevent the system from marking that lesson as complete. Once the video ends, the next lesson or activity unlocks automatically.

Some courses include quizzes as part of progress requirements. If a quiz is required, you must pass it before moving forward. If you do not pass on the first attempt and additional attempts are allowed, you can review the lesson and try again. Until the quiz is passed, progress will remain paused at that point in the course.

You can always move backward to review completed lessons using the course navigation menu. Reviewing past content does not reset your progress or lock completed sections. However, you cannot move ahead until all required steps in the current section are finished.

A course is considered complete only when all required lessons, videos, and quizzes have been successfully completed. Once a course is fully completed, it is marked as complete in your dashboard. At that point, certificates become available based on your account role.

If progress appears stuck or a lesson seems locked, it usually means a required video was not fully watched or a quiz was not passed. Refreshing the page or re-entering the course may update the display, but progress rules still apply.

Understanding how course progress works helps prevent confusion and ensures you always know what is required to move forward. The system is designed to guide you step by step, save your place automatically, and keep training records accurate.
